1、根据外管局相关规定，留学生首次持学习签证（X1签证）入境后，24小时内到学校报到，办理住宿登记，并在入境之日起24小时到济宁市外管局办理居留许可。

2、当留学生居留许可到期需延长时，学生本人无须到公安局，必须提前45天与负责老师取得联系，并上交相关材料（学费收据、护照、公安局照的照片、体检表、签证费）。并在一个月之内保持手机处于可接通状态，以便负责老师联系。有JW202表到期需补办者应至少于到期前二个月到招生办提交材料，办理补办手续。

3、留学生必须注意护照的有效期限，护照有效期不足6个月和空白页不足时，应及时更新护照。

4、留学生可办理一年期或半年期居留许可。居留许可办理时间为三周，由留学生本人到国际交流学院领回护照，不得代他人领取护照。

5、在公安局办理签证手续时，应妥善保存证件照片，以待以后延长签证使用。
