I. UniversityProfiles

NorthwestUniversityofPoliticalScienceandLaw(NWUPL)hasadisciplinarysystemfeaturinglegalstudiesaswellasthecoordinateddevelopmentofphilosophy,economics,management,andliterature.NWUPListhelegaleducationandresearchcenter,andanimportantbaseforhumanitiesandsocialscienceresearch,innorthwestChina.IthasbeenawardedmembershiptotheLegalAllianceamongtoplegalinstitutesofhighereducationinChina.TheuniversityislocatedinthehistoricalandculturalcityofXi’an,covering anareaof1,347acres (approximately898,000squaremeters)with twocampuses,Chang’ancampusandYantacampus.

Theuniversitywillissuegraduationcertificatestointernationalstudentswhohavecompletedthecorrespondingtrainingprogramswithinthespecifiedstudyperiodandhavepassedtheexams,andtheuniversitywillawardthedegreecertificatesiftheymeettherequirementsofthecorrespondingdegrees.

TheuniversityalsocarriesouttheChineselanguageProgramforinternationalstudents,whichlastsforonesemester.Studentswillbeissued thecertificateofcompletionaftercompletingtherequiredcourseswithinthestudyperiod.

IV.QualificationsforApplication

1.18yearsoldorabove,physicallyandmentallyhealthy.

2.ApplicantsfortheundergraduateprogramandtheChineselanguagetrainingprogrammusthavegraduatedfromhighschoolorabove;Studentsapplyingforthepostgraduate programmusthaveabachelor’sdegreeorabove;Studentsapplyingforthedoctoralprogrammusthaveamaster’sdegreeorabove.

3.ApplicantsshouldholdavalidpassportofacountryotherthanChinaoradocumentcertifyingnationalityotherthanChinaforatleast4years(inclusive),andhaveactuallyresidedintheissuingcountryofthepassport(documentcertifyingnationality)foratleast2yearswithinthelast4years(beforeApril30oftheadmissionyear)(actualresidenceof9monthsinayearcanbecountedasoneyear,basedontheentryandexitstamps).

4.Applicantsfortheundergraduateprogrammust have passed theNewChineseProficiencyTest(HSK)Level4;Applicantsforthepostgraduateanddoctoralprogramsmust have passed theNewChineseProficiencyTest(HSK)Level5;Thereisnolanguagerequirementforapplicantsof theChineseLanguageProgram.

5.Applicantsshouldbelaw-abidingandhavenocriminalrecord.

CompletetheNWUPL ApplicationFormforInternationalStudentsinChineseorEnglishandsenditinPDFformwiththefollowingspecificapplicationmaterialstothedesignatedemailaddress:sie@***.cn.

1.Originalornotarizedhighesteducationcertificate(recent graduatesmayfirstprovideacertificateofgraduation).

2.Originalornotarizedtranscriptsofthehighesteducation,originalornotarizedcertificatesofvariousawards.

3.TranscriptsofthenewChineseLanguageProficiencyTest(HSK)(fordegreeprograms).

4.Thefirstpageofvalidgeneralpassport,allvisapagesandpassportphoto.

5.“FOREIGNERPHYSICALEXAMINATIONFORM”(withinthelast4months).

VII.AssessmentandAdmission

Theadmissionassessmentisacombinationofmaterialevaluation,writtentest, interview,andacomprehensivetestofstudents’academicbackground,academiclevel,languageability,statusqualificationandfinancialability.

Theadmissionresultswillbenotifiedvia telephoneoremailbeforeAugust 1st.AdmissionlettersandJW202Formswillbesenttothefinalconfirmedstudents afterwards.

VIII.EnrollmentTime

ThereportingtimeforinternationalstudentsisproposedtobeinearlySeptember,andthespecifictimeisdeterminedbytheNoticeofAcceptanceofInternationalStudentsofNorthwestUniversityofPoliticalScienceandLaw.

InviewoftheglobalCOVID-19epidemicsituation,allinternationalstudentsmustsignthepromiseformtoreporttotheuniversityinadvanceandpromisenottocometoChinawithoutthepermissionoftheuniversity,andthespecifictimetocometotheuniversityshallbesubjecttothenoticeoftheuniversity,otherwisetheadmissionqualificationwillbecancelled.

X.Scholarship

TheUniversityoffers"theBeltandRoad"ScholarshipforInternationalStudents, whichincludesbasicscholarship(waivetuitionfee,accommodationfee,insurancefeeandbasictextbookfees)andlivingallowance. Thelivingallowancewillbeawardedaccordingtothestudents’overallperformanceduringtheirstudyperiod.

NWUPLisalsotherecommendedsponsorofShaanxiSanqinScholarship forInternationalStudents andXi’an"the BeltandRoad"Scholarship forInternationalStudents,andstudentscanapplyaccordingtotheconditionsafterenrolling.

XI.Accommodation

Theinternationalstudentswillbeaccommodatedinstudents’apartmentinChang’anCampus,whichisequippedwithairconditioning,privatebathroomandshower,inadditiontobasiclivingfacilities.
