XiamenOceanVocationalCollege islocatedinthebeautifulandwarmsea gardencity-Xiamen,Fujian. XmocisapublicordinaryhighervocationalcollegeaffiliatedtotheEducationDepartmentofFujianProvincial.Xmocisa featured choolonnationaldefenseeducation whichisauthenticated bytheMinistryofEducation.XmocisalsoamemberoftheClassA collegesamongthedemonstrativemodernvocationalcolleges inFujianProvince.Inthemeantime,Xmocisknownasacivilization chool, safetycampusandexcellentemploymentorganization inFujianProvince.XiamenOceanVocationalCollegeevolvedfromtheDepartmentofFisheriesofJimeiSchool,whichwasfoundedbyMr.TanKahKeein1920,aprominentpatrioticoverseasChineseleader.Xmochasahistoryofalmostonehundred years.

学院现有思明和翔安两个校区，占地712亩，总规划占地面积1000余亩，设置有航海技术系、生物技术系、信息技术系、机电工程系、工商管理系、基础部、思政部7个系部33个专业，在校学生11000余人。

XiamenOceanVocationalCollegehasSiming campus andXiang'ancampus,withanareaof474,662squaremetersfornow.Its planned areais666,660squaremeters intotal.XiamenOceanVocationalCollegeincludessevendepartments,namely the DepartmentofNavigationTechnology,Biotechnology,InformationTechnology,ElectromechanicalEngineering,BusinessAdministration,BasicandIdeologicalandPolitical.Xmoc has 33 majorsaltogether andmorethan11,000students.

学院现有专兼职教师555人，其中副高职称以上占33.33%，“双师素质”教师占专任教师的66.67%。拥有省级教学团队“水产养殖技术专业团队”，省级专业带头人11名，农业职业教育教学名师7名。建有大型船舶操纵模拟器等校内实训室及各种仿真实训室159个、校外实习实训基地218个。其中，中央财政和省级财政支持的实训基地15个。共配置教学仪器设备总值超亿元，馆藏图书50余万册。

XiamenOceanVocationalCollegehas555 full-timeandpart-timeteachers, and33.33% ofthemownsecondarysenior positions.The full-time teacherswith“double qualified certifications” (whoaregoodat engineeringandteaching)reach66.67%.Meanwhile,theXmocowns aprovincial-levelteachingteam“AquacultureTechnologyProfessionalTeam, 11provincial-levelacademic leaders,and7agriculturalvocationaleducationteachers. Xmocisequipped with159 on-campustrainingroomsandvarioussimulationtrainingrooms,suchaslargeshipmaneuversimulator,as wellas218off-campusinternshiptraining ase .Amongthem,thereare15 trainingbasessupportedbythecentralgovernmentandprovincialfinance.Thetotalvalueofcollocatedteachinginstrumentandequipmentexceeds100millionYuan, andthecollectionofbooksismorethan500,000.

学院大力实施国际化办学水平提升工程，积极拓宽办学视野。成立国际交流与合作中心，与澳大利亚蓝山国际酒店学院、泰国博仁大学、台湾海洋大学等高校开展联合办学和师生互访；组织承办环境科学与计算机科学各类高水平国际学术会议；实施对接国际海事公约组织标准的国际船员体系专业认证、IEET悉尼协议专业认证等方式推动人才培养国际化；聘请加拿大EdwardMcBean院士、肖惠宁院士等40多位国内外知名专家教授担任兼职或特聘教授。推动成立“国际海洋环境系统工程研究中心”“海上丝绸之路茶文化研究与传播中心”等国际合作平台。

XiamenOceanVocationalCollegevigorouslyimplementstheupgradingprojectofinternationalschool-runninglevelandactivelyexpandsthehorizonofeducation.Aninternationalexchangeandcooperationcenter isestablished,and joint chool-runningandmutualvisitsbetweenteachersandstudentsareconductedbetweenBlueMountainsInternationalHotelManagementSchool,Australia,DhurakijPunditUniversity,Thailand,andNational Taiwan Ocean Universityandsoon.Xmochasorganized varioushigh-levelinternationalacademicconferencesonenvironmentalscienceandcomputerscience.Weimplement rofessionalcertificationoftheinternationalcrewsystemthatmeetsthestandardsoftheInternationalMaritimeOrganization,aswellastheIEETSydneyAgreementProfessionalCertification ***rethan40well-knowndomesticandforeignexpertsandprofessorssuchasAcademicianEdwardMcBean,CanadaandAcademicianXiaoHuiningareemployedaspart-timeorspecialprofessors. Wealsomakeeffortsto establishinternationalcooperationplatform suchasthe“InternationalMarineEnvironmentSystemEngineeringResearchCenter”andthe“MaritimeSilkRoadTeaCultureResearchandCommunicationCenter”.
