HefeiPreschoolEducationCollege(HPEC)isapublicfull-timenormalcollegeauthorizedtoenroll,educateandconfercollegedegreestostudents.StudentswillbeconferredacollegegraduationcertificateofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaaftertheycompleteallcoursesrequired.

HPECisacollegeinthelistofAnhuiProvincialProgramtobeconstructedintoaskill-orientedhigh-leveluniversityandamodelcollegeinvocationaleducationrecognizedbytheMinistryofEducationofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.HPEChasbeenawardedaClass-IIprizeintheNationalEvaluationofOutstandingAchievementsinEducation,aClass-IprizeattheNationalTeachingAbilityCompetitionforVocationalCollegeTeachers,andaClass-IIprizeforitspreschooleducationattheNationalVocationalCollegeSkillsCompetitionsince2018.Itspreschoolteachertrainingmodefeaturing“fullpractice-orientedandgovernment-college-kindergartencoordinatedprogram”wasawardedthehighestnationalprizeforinnovationachievementsinpreschooleducationattheFifthChinaEducationInnovationExpo.

HPECoffers***grams,namelypreschooleducation,earlychildhoodeducation,specialeducation,musiceducation,fineartseducation,danceeducation,arteducation,artdesign,danceperformance,Englisheducation,elementaryeducation,libraryandarchivesmanagement,earlychildhooddevelopmentandhealthmanagement,andhotelmanagement,amongwhich,preschooleducation,specialeducationandfineartseducationarethenationalkeyprograms.Thepreschooleducationteamwaslistedtobeconstructedintoanationalteachinginnovationteamforvocationaleducationin2019.

Withgreatimportanceattachedtointernationalexchangesandcooperation,HPEChasestablishedclose,friendlyandcooperativerelationswithSoonchunhyangUniversity,WoosongUniversity,WoosongCollege,andChejuHallaUniversityintheRepublicofKorea,UniversityofChichesterintheUK,BloomfieldCollegeandLincolnAcademyintheUS,andthePersonnelDepartmentofSingaporePeople’sActionPartyCommunityFund,aswellasYuanpeiUniversityofMedicalTechnology,Min-HweiCollegeofHealthCareManagement,andChungYuanChristianUniversityinTaiwan.Theactivitiescarriedoutbythecollegeanditsinternationalcounterpartsincludecooperativeschoolrunning,bilateralacademicvisitsbyteachers,studentexchangesandemploymentpromotion.

Overthepast39yearssinceitsestablishment,HPEChascultivatedover15,000preschoolandelementaryschoolteachersandtrainedover37,000in-servicekindergartenteachers.AmongalltheprincipalsoftheClass-Ikindergartensintheprovince,morethan80percentaregraduatesofHPEC,andsoaremorethan90percentoftheprincipalsofpublickindergartensinHefei,thecapitalcityofAnhui.HPEChasbeenacclaimedastheflagshipofpreschooleducation,the“WhampoaMilitaryAcademy”inpreschooleducation,andthecradleofkindergartenprincipalsinAnhui.

HPEChasbeenrepeatedlycommendedbytheMinistryofEducation,theMinistryofHumanResourcesandSocialSecurity,andtheMinistryofEcologyandEnvironment.Ithasbeenhonoredasa“NationalAdvancedUnitinLanguageandWritingTeaching”,a“NationalAdvancedUnitinSportsEducation”,anda“BenchmarkCollegeforHigherVocationalEducationDevelopmentinAnhui”;ithasbeencitedbytheMinistryofEducationasateachertrainingschoolthathascultivatedqualifiedteachersforelementaryeducationwithclearlydefinedorientationandremarkableachievements;itisanadvancedunitintheeducationalsectorandacivilizationrolemodelintheprovince.

III.EligibilityRequirements

1.Applicantsmustapplyoftheirownaccord,abidebythelawsandregulationsofthePeople’sRepublicofChina,complywiththerulesandregulationsofHPEC,andrespectlocalcustoms.

2.Applicantsmustbeagedover18,female,holdingahighschooldiplomaorabove,andhaveaChineseproficiencycertificateofHSKBand2orabove.

3.Applicantsmustbeingoodhealthwithoutanyinfectiousdisease.Ahealthcertificateissuedbyapublichospitaloraprivatehospitalnotarizedbyanotarydepartmentinthecountrywheretheapplicantisfrommustbeprovided.

4.ApplicantsmustmeettherequirementsforthepreschooleducationprogramstipulatedintheGuidingOpinionsonPhysicalExaminationofStudentsinGeneralInstitutionsofHigherLearningofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.(SeeAppendix4forspecificrequirements)

V.FinancialaidandScholarshipPolicies

1.Financialaidpolicies:

(1)FreeAccommodationandteachingmaterials;

(2)Insurancecoveredbythecollegeinaccordancewiththenationalpolicy;

(3)ReductionandexemptionforresidencepermitandphysicalexaminationchargesafterenteringChina.

(4)RMB500asthelivingsubsidyeverymonth.

2.Scholarshippolicies

HPECoffersthefollowingscholarshipsexclusivelyforinternationalstudents:

(1)Languageproficiencyscholarship

SuccessfulapplicantsholdingaChineseproficiencycertificateofHSKBand5,Band4orBand3mayapplyforaLanguageproficiencyscholarshiprespectivelyforRMB6,000,RMB4,000orRMB1,000.

(2)AcademicExcellenceScholarship

Accordingtotheevaluationoftheacademicachievementsandperformanceofthestudentsatschool,threelevelsofannualscholarshipswillbeawardedtostudents:ClassI,RMB8,000,ClassII,RMB5,000,andClassIII,RMB3,000.Thepercentagesofthestudentswinningthescholarshipsinaclassaredesignedtotake10percent,20percent,and30percentrespectively.

(3)OutstandingProgressScholarship

ThosestudentswhoachieveoutstandingprogressinlearningChinesemayapplyforanoutstandingprogressscholarshipofRMB1,000uponeachbandupgradingintheHSKtests.

VI.ApplicationProcedure

1.ApplicantsshoulddownloadandfillouttheInternationalStudentApplicationForm(Appendix1),theForeignerPhysicalCheckForm(Appendix2),andtheCustodyReleaseForm(Appendix3),andsendthemviamail,faxore-mail,togetherwithaphotocopyofthehighschoolgraduationcertificate,aprovedhighschooltranscript,theHSKcertificateandthehealthcertificatetotheHPECadmissionsofficebeforeMay20,2020.

2.Afterreviewingtheapplicants’documents,theadmissionsofficewillsendtothosewhomeettherequirementsanAdmissionLetterandaVisaApplicationFormforForeignStudentstoChina(JW202).
