UESTC was founded in 1956. Fifty years’ efforts and cultivations have witnessed the University’s process from sole dependence on electronic information engineering to all-around programs in electronic disciplines, and the University now turns out to be a key multidisciplinary university with electronic information science and technology as its nucleus, engineering as its major field, and incorporates science, management and liberal arts.

学校现有教职工3500余人，其中专任教师2100余人，教授350余人。学校现有各类全日制在读学生30000余人，其中博士、硕士研究生11000余人。

UESTC has more than 3,500 faculty members. Among them over 2,100 are full-time teachers, more than 350 are professors. UESTC has a current enrollment of30,000 students, including11,000 doctors and masters.

UESTC occupies a land area of over 820 acres, among which Qingshuihe Campus takes 658 acres, with a total construction area of 700,000 square meters. On the campus, there are more than 20,000 trees such as gingko, Nan-mao, camphor tree, metasequoia, osmanthus and so on, which make it a green digital campus. The university has 2.52 million volumes of books, and 197,271GB digital resources. 二、来华留学研究生项目介绍

Introduction to UESTC’sGraduate rogram for Foreign Students

电子科技大学在物理学、光学工程、电子科学与技术、信息与通信工程、计算机科学与技术、生物医学工程、软件工程、管理科学与工程、公共管理9个学科招收来华留学研究生，采用英文教学。此外，在我校所有博士点、硕士点学科同时招收来华留学研究生，但采用中文教学。攻读博士学位学制3年，学费37000元人民币/年；攻读硕士学位学制2年，学费25000元人民币/年。学校可根据申请人大学期间学习情况给予全额或部分学校留学生专项奖学金。留学生修业期满，成绩合格并通过学位论文答辩者颁发毕业证书，并授予博士（硕士）学位。

UESTC offers English-instructed graduate programs for foreign students in the followingninemajors:Physics,Optical Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Biomedical Engineering,Software Engineering,Management Science and Engineering, Public Management. UESTC also offers Chinese-instructed graduate programs for foreign students in allspecialties. The intended studying period for the doctoraldegree rograms will be three years and the tuition fee is RMB 37,000 Yuan per year. Master’s degree programs will be two years and the tuition fee is RMB 25,000 Yuan per year.The university may give full scholarships or partial scholarships for foreign student to the applicants according to their application material and their performance on UESTC campus. Those who have achieved courses qualification and succeeded in the thesis defense will be awarded graduation diploma and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.

申请者应身心健康、品行端正，攻读博士学位须具有与中国大学硕士学位相当的学位或同等学力，攻读硕士学位须具有与中国大学学士学位相当的学位或同等学力，并持有两名副教授或相应职称以上学者之推荐信。

The applicants should be healthy, well-behaved, and capable of communicating in English. In addition,those who want toenroll in our master’s degree programsshould have the educational qualification that is equivalent to Chineseuniversity achelor's degree while those who want toenroll in our doctoraldegree rograms should have the educational qualification that is equivalent to Chineseuniversitymaster's degree. At last, the letters of recommendation from academic figures with professional title of associate professor or above are demanded.

语言要求：选择中文教学的留学生汉语水平须达到HSK6级或同等水平，选择英文教学的留学生英语水平须达到雅思5.5、托福IBT 80分以上或同等水平

Language proficiency requirement: For students in pursuit of Chinese-instructed programs, they need to have the Chinese proficiency of HSK 6; For students in pursuit of English-instructed programs, they need to have the English proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 80.

申请时间为每年1月至3月。申请人应符合《中国政府奖学金申请办法》规定的基本条件（详见www.***.cn/laihua），并在中国国家留学基金管理委员会来华留学网上报名信息平台（laihua.***.cn）进行网上报名，打印申请表后，连同学历证明、成绩单、学习计划、健康证明及推荐信等相关申请材料向所在国派遣机构提交。对于尚不具备网上报名条件的申请人，可向所在国派遣机构申领有关中国政府奖学金申请表。申请材料均不退还。我校国际教育学院可为符合条件的申请人提供指导和帮助。

Application time starts from January to March each year. Applicants should meet the requirements stipulated in Rules of Application for Chinese Government Scholarship (hereafter referred as Application Rules). Application Rules is available at URL http://www.***.cn/laihua. If he meets the requirements to register on-line, he should fill in and submit his information through the Online Registration System of China Scholarship Council, and then print his application form. Attached other required materials mentioned above, his application form should be submitted to the host dispatch organization. Application Procedure and Instructions/注意事项：

The new academic year begins in September. Applicants are asked to send the completed Application Form before the mid of May for the new academic year. Letter of Recommendation is needed if he/she is an exchange student on an exchange program.

电子科技大学新学年为9月入学，申请人应于5月中旬之前将申请材料寄来。校际交流学生需提供学校的推荐信。

After receiving the application materials by the date specified above, we will evaluate the materials. The qualified applicants will receive the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the Letter of Admission.

收到上述日期申请材料后，我校评估相关材料，并向成功的申请人寄发来华签证申请表（JW202表）和入学通知书。

With the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the Letter of Admission along with the completed Physical Examination Report (if the duration of study is more than 6 months), the applicant should apply to the Chinese Embassy (or Consulate) for the X visa (student’s visa), or for the F visa if the duration of study is less than 6 months.

申请人持JW202表、入学通知书和《外国人体格检查记录》（学习期限超过6个月的学生）到中国驻贵国使（领）馆办理来华学习签证（X签证），学习期限在6个月以内的可申请F签证。

The student is required to register at UESTC during the time specified in the Letter of Admission and go through the formalities for applying for residence card within 30 days after arriving in China. The student shall be fined by the local Public Security Bureau if s/he fails to do so within the said period.

学生应按入学通知书规定的时间来校报到。入境后30天之内应申办外国人居留证，否则将受到公安部门的处罚。

体检说明/ EXPLANATION OF THE PHYSICAL EXAMINATION：

1．在华学习外国留学生，应按照“外国人体格检查记录”进行体格检查。体检表贴照片处，应有医院印章，否则，视体检表无效。

The foreign students, who intend to study in China, should go through a physical check-up before they come to China, according to the requirements of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners. The hospital seal should be put across the photo on the Examination Record, or the Record is invalid.

2．体检表应填写清楚，体检报告应附有X光透视胸片及霍乱、黄热、鼠疫、麻风、性病、性肺结核、艾滋病、肝功能、澳抗和精神病的化验室检查报告。外国留学生到电子科技大学报到时，我们将体检表及化验室检查报告送至成都市检验检疫局查验。凡体检查验不合格者，需在成都市检验检疫局重新体检，费用自理。

All the items of this form should be filled in carefully and clearly. The report should be attached with the negative film for Chest X-ray exams, and the examination certificates for laboratory exams (Serodiagnosis), which include exams on Cholera, Yellow fever, Plague, Leprosy, Venereal Disease, Opening lung tuberculosis, AIDS, Psychosis, Liver function and HBsAG. On their arrival at University, the Record (an original copy) and laboratory exam certificates should be sent toChengdu Quarantine Bureau for check. Those whose exam is not qualified should get the physical re-check up done inChengdu. The expenses should be covered by themselves.

3．体检应在来华一个月前在公立医院进行，凡在私立医院体检者，应取得公证部门的公证。到达电子科技大学报到时，体检时间不得超过六个月，否则应在成都重新体检，费用自理。

The physical examination should be taken in the public hospitals one month before their departure, if the physical check-up is done at a private hospital, the student should get the certificate notarized. If the physical check-up is over 6 months old on the day of their registration, they should have re-checked up inChengdu. The expenses should be covered by themselves.

4．体检表是办理入境签证及在华居留手续所需文件之一，留学生到达电子科技大学报到时，应提交正本。

The Physical Examination Record is one of the documents that are needed in the process of going through the visa formalities. The students should bring the original copy along with them when they come to China.
