学校办学始于著名爱国华侨领袖陈嘉庚先生1920年创办的集美学校水产科，为我国早培养水产航海技术人才的摇篮之一。在百年的办学历程中，学校以“诚毅”为校训，弘扬嘉庚精神，为国家和福建海洋产业发展培养了大量高素质的技术技能人才，优秀校友遍及全国各地和世界五洲，在海内外享有广泛声誉。2000年4月，时任福建省省长的习近平总书记为学校八十周年校庆题词“春风化雨，桃李满园”，对学校的建设和发展寄予厚望。

Starting from the Fisheries Department of Jimei School founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, in 1920, the College is one of the cradles for training aquatic navigation technicians in China. In the 100-year course of running the school, the College has taken sincerity and persistence as its motto, carried forward the spirit of Jiageng, and trained a large number of high-quality technical and skilled personnel for the development of the ocean industry in Fujian and the whole country, with outstanding alumni spreading all over the country and five continents in the world, enjoying a wide reputation at home and abroad. In April 2000, General Secretary Xi Jinping, when he was governor of Fujian Province, wrote an inscription for the 80th anniversary of the school-Chun Feng Hua Yu, Tao Li Man Yuan, placing high hopes on the construction and development of the college.
学校现有思明和翔安两个校区，占地712亩，总规划占地面积1000余亩，设置有航海学院、海洋生物学院、海洋机电学院、信息工程学院、国际商贸学院、海洋文化与旅游学院、海洋工程学院、公共教育学院、马克思主义学院、学院等10个二级学院，在校学生1.2万人，非学历教育学生每年2万多人次。现有专兼职教师639人，其中副高职称以上占比达39%，“双师素质”教师占专任教师比例超过80%。拥有省级教学团队“水产养殖技术专业团队”，全国优秀教师1名、省级教学名师1名，省级专业带头人13名，农业职业教育教学名师7名。建有大型船舶操纵模拟器等校内实训室及各种仿真实训室166个、校外实习实训基地253个。其中，中央财政支持的实训基地3个，省级财政支持的实训基地12个。共配置教学仪器设备总值8855万元，馆藏图书54.43万册、电子图书55万种。

The College has two campuses of Siming and Xiang'an, covering an area of 712 mu and a total planning area of more than 1000 mu, which is set up with 10 secondary colleges including the Maritime College, the Ocean Biology College, the Ocean Mechanical and Electrical College, the Information Engineering College, the International Trade College, the Ocean Culture and Tourism College, the Ocean Engineering College, the Public Education College, the Marxism College and the Continuing Education College, with 12000 students and more than 20000 non-academic education students each year.At present, there are 639 full-time and part-time teachers, of whom 37% have above deputy professional titles, with the double-position teachers accounting for more than 80% of full-time teachers. The College has a provincial teaching team of Aquaculture Technology Specialty Team, one provincial teaching master, 13 provincial specialty leaders and 7 agricultural vocational education teaching masters. There are 166 on-campus training rooms such as large ship handling simulators and various simulation training rooms, and 253 off-campus training bases.Among them, there are 3 training bases supported by the central government and 12 training bases supported by the provincial government.A total of 88.55 million yuan of teaching instruments and equipment have been allocated, 540 thousand books and 550 thousand kinds of electronic books have been collected.

二、招生对象条件

（一）“海上丝绸之路”沿线国家非中国籍学生，拥护“一个中国”。

（二）申请读我校的学生，须获得高级中学或同等学历的中专以上毕业证书，年龄在18-30周岁（截止2021年9月1日前），持外国有效普通护照的非中国籍公民。

（1）中国大陆、香港、澳门和台湾居民在移民外国后作为外国留学生来华学习必须持有效外国护照4年（含）以上，且近4年（截至2021年4月30日前）之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。

（2）根据有关规定，外籍华人（含已加入外国国籍的原中国公民及其外国籍后裔、中国公民的外国籍后裔）须通过公安机关出入境管理机构的国籍认定，方可办理外国人居留许可并按外国留学生身份进行学籍注册。未通过国籍认定者将被取消入学资格。

（三）遵守中国政府的法律法规。学生身体健康，身体条件须符合教育部、卫生部、中国残疾人联合会《关于印发普通高等学校招生体检工作指导意见的通知》等相关文件规定，体检不合格者不予录取。

（四）具有运用汉语和汉字进行交际和沟通的基本能力，汉语水平须达到《国际汉语能力标准》四级及以上水平。

Ⅱ Admission Conditions

2.1The applicants should be the descendant of overseas Chinese from the countries along the “Maritime Silk Road”, and should advocate the “One-China Policy” and be friendly to their ancestral home countries.

2.2 The applicants must obtain a diploma of senior high school or equivalent secondary school or above.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged between 18 and 30 (until September 1, 2021) with a valid foreign general passport.

2.2.1 Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who immigrated to other countries and then study in China as a foreign student must hold a valid foreign passport for 4 years or more. And in the past 4 years (Until April 30, 2021), there have been records of actually living abroad for more than 2 years (actually living abroad for 9 months in a year can be calculated in one year, certified by entry and exit seals)

2.2.2 According to the relevant regulations, foreign Chinese (including former Chinese citizens who have joined foreign nationality and their descendants of foreign nationality, and foreign descendants of Chinese citizens) must pass the nationality identification of the entry and exit administration of the Public Security Bureau. Then they can apply for foreign residence permit and register as a foreign student. Those who fail to pass the nationality identification will be disqualified.

2.3 The applicants should comply with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government. The applicants’ physical conditions must in line with the relevant documents issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, and China Disabled Persons' Federation, mainly the “Guidance Opinions on Physical Examination of Enrollment in Colleges and Universities”. Those who are not qualified for physical examination are not accepted.

2.4 The applicants should have the basic ability to communicate in Chinese and Chinese characters.Applicants for programs taught in Chinese should achieve International Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) band 4 or above.

四、学生申请时间及申请材料

（一）申请时间：

2021年2月1日至5月10日

（二）申请材料：

1.申请人须提供如下材料，所有材料须一式三份：

1）《厦门海洋职业技术学院留学生入学申请表》（见附件1）；

2）护照或其他身份证明复印件；

3）2寸白底彩色免冠照片；

4）经公证的中文或英文高中或中专毕业证书和成绩单，中英文以外文本需附上经过公证的中文或英文译本；

5）汉语水平考试（HSK）证书复印件；

6）毕业学校鉴定表或推荐信；

7）《厦门海洋职业技术学院国际学生经济担保书》（见附件2）及其担保材料复印件，须用中文或英文填写。申请奖学金者也需提交经济担保书；

8）来华学习计划（不少于800字）；

9）近半年《外国人体格检查表》和无犯罪记录证明。无犯罪记录证明是由申请人所在地公安机关出具的证明文件。

2.申请陈嘉庚奖学金的留学生，需另外提供以下两份材料：

2）申请人华人华侨后裔证明，即由所在国家华人社团或较有影响的华人出具的申请人为华人后裔的证明函（具体模板格式见附件4）；

4.2.7 Copy of Financial Support GuaranteeStatement for International Students(AppendixⅡ), combined with the relevant guarantee materials (in English, or in Chinese). Applicants for government scholarships are also required to submit a financial support guaranteestatement.

4.2.8 Study Plan in China (no less than 800 words)

4.2.9 Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Certificate of no criminal record.

4.3 International students applying for Tan Kah Kee scholarship need to provide the following two additional materials:

The certificate of the applicant for the Chinese descendants should be issued by the Chinese Association or the influential overseas Chinese of the host country.

4.4 International students applying for the scholarship of Xiamen Ocean Vocational College should also provide the scholarship application form for international students of Xiamen Ocean Vocational College (Appendix Ⅴ)

五、录取选拔

（一）资格审查

我校将综合审查申请者的外籍身份、高中学历、学业成绩、语言证书、个人陈述、中学推荐意见、华人华侨后裔证明等。

（二）考核

我校将对通过资格审查的学生于5月中下旬进行考核，重点考查学生的语言交流能力和综合素质等。

（三）我校将根据申请者的资格审查和考核结果择优录取。

录取通知书和外国留学人员来华学习签证申请表将于7月陆续寄出。

ⅤAdmission and Selection

5.1 Verification of qualification

There will be a comprehensive review of the applicant’s foreign identity, high school diploma, academic performance, language proficiency, personal statement, recommendations and the identification of the descendants of overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese .

5.2Assessment

For those applicants who pass the verification of qualification, the school will take a assessment , focuses on the students' language communication ability, overall merit, etc.

5.3 The admission decision will be based on the verification of the applicant’s qualification and assessment results.

Admission Notices and Student Visa Application Forms (JW202) for successful applicants will be mailed out starting in July 2020.

六、奖学金及其资助标准

被我校录取的留学生可以申请奖学金，包括陈嘉庚奖学金、福建省政府奖学金和厦门海洋职业技术学院留学生奖学金等。

陈嘉庚奖学金资助标准：人民币50000元/人/学年；

福建省政府奖学金资助标准：人民币30000元/人/学年；

厦门海洋职业技术学院留学生奖学金资助标准：人民币20000元/人/学年。

被录取到我校就读的外国留学生，需要按程序评审，评审通过后奖学金原则上按月发放。

奖学金可以用来支付学费、住宿费、保险费、教材费、生活费等费用。

奖学金不可兼得，申请者多只能获得其中一种奖学金资助。

我校将全面审查奖学金申请者的学业成绩、语言能力水平等，根据奖学金遴选办法，坚持规范、客观、公平的原则，从被录取的学生中择优选拔奖学金候选人，报学校及奖学金上级主管部门审批。同时，根据奖学金评审相关办法对各类奖学金获得者进行年度考核，符合条件的可继续申请或享受下一学年的奖学金，否则将取消其享受奖学金资格或降低奖学金标准。

Ⅵ Scholarships Funding Standards

International students admitted by our university can apply for scholarships, including Tan Kah Kee scholarship, Fujian provincial government scholarship and Xiamen Ocean Vocational College scholarship.

Funding Standard of “Tan Kah Kee Scholarship”: 50,000 RMB/per-person/per-year.

Funding Standard of Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship: 30,000 RMB/per-person/per-year.

Funding Standard ofScholarship for international students of Xiamen Ocean Vocational College: 20,000 RMB/per-person/per-year.

The overseas students admitted to our college should be reviewed by particular procedures. The scholarship will be provided monthly in principle after the approval.

The scholarships can be used for tuition, accommodation, insurance, textbooks, living expenses and other expenses.

Applicants can only receive one of the scholarships.

Xmoc will comprehensively review the academic performance and language proficiency of scholarship applicants. According to the scholarship selection method, adhere to the principle of standardization, objectivity and fairness, Xmoc will select the candidates for the scholarship from the admitted students, and report it to the higher authorities of the college for approval. At the same time, the scholarship recipients will be assessed annually according to the relevant methods of scholarship evaluation. Eligible applicants can continue to apply or receive scholarships for the next academic year. Those who do not meet the conditions will be disqualified from scholarship or lower scholarship criteria.

七、收费标准

（一）学费标准：15000元人民币/人/学年。

（二）住宿费标准：2200元人民币/人/学年。

留学生入住学生公寓，公寓每四人一间，配有空调、热水器、家具、独立卫生间。

享受奖学金学生与自费学生的收费标准相同。

Ⅶ Charges Standard

7.1 Tuition Standard: 15,000 RMB/per-person/per-year.

7.2 Accommodation Fee Standard: 2,200 RMB/ per-person/per-year. International students stay in the student dorms with air conditioning, water heater, furniture and separate toilet. Every dorm contains four students.

Scholarship students are charged the same fees as self-funded students.
