2018年华侨大学华文学院汉语言专业新生须知

您好！恭喜您即将成为华侨大学的一名新学员。在您即将踏上求学之路前，请仔细阅读新生须知。

 

一、身体检查

为了您健健康康的在中国学习，请到当地正规医院做一次全面的身体检查。在我们给您的文件中，有一份《外国人体格检查表》，这是您到当地中国使领馆申请学习签证（X1）必须提供的表格。

来校时请将医院出示的《外国人体格检查表》、X光片、血液检查记录等文件一并带来，否则您将不得不在中国当地的卫生机构再次进行体格检查。

抵达学校后，须将上述体检报告原件送到厦门市出入境检验检疫局进行复检，检查合格后您领取到健康合格证明，费用为60元。

如果您在您的国家没有进行体检，入学后应到厦门市出入境检验检疫局做体检，费用530元。

 

二、办理签证

建议您接到录取通知后就开始办理签证，需要提交的材料请与当地中国使领馆联系确认：如照片的尺寸和张数，护照是否需要复印，是否需要《外国人体格体检表》，是否还有其它文件和证明等等。

请携带《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202表）及按使领馆要求提供的其他材料到中国使领馆申请学习签证（X1签证）。

X1签证入境30天内必须更换成居留许可；因此请不要提早入境，以防签证过期，建议您在2017年9月4日－9日入境，并尽快来华侨大学华文学院报到。

如果您比较晚申请或者来不及办理学习签证，可以申请旅游签证抵达中国厦门，但必须提前告知我们，征得我们的同意后才能来校学习。如果在我们没有同意的情况下抵达，我们将无法帮助您办理签证延长或办理居留许可手续。

 

三、接机与抵达

签证办理完毕后，建议您预订2017年9月4日－9日期间抵达厦门的航班。预订完成后请您通知我们，以便于我们安排接机等服务。

如果您不需要接机，建议您乘坐的士抵达华侨大学华文学院，并向司机出示我院的地址：厦门市集美区嘉庚路8号（集美学村龙舟池旁）。从厦门国际机场到学院，大约20 分钟车程，费用大约30元。

厦门平均温度21度，学院校区内有超市、食堂、运动场所等生活设施齐全，您不需要携带太多的生活用品，例如厚重衣服，被褥等。

 

四、应缴费用

1、报名费：500元

2、教材费：约600元/学年

3、学费：14000－15000元/学年。

4、住宿费：两人间5600元/每人每学年，四人间2400元/每人每学年

有些国外银行卡（如VISA, MASTER卡）在厦门每天多能取出2000元，为了不影响您的正常入学,我们建议您在来华前开设一张具有“银联（UnionPay）”标志的银行卡，用于到校后交纳各项费用及其他日常开销。

为了方便来校学习和生活，建议您随身携带2000元左右的人民币现金，其中包含少量零钱。抵达学院后，您可以在附近的工商银行开设一张银行,方便您的家人汇入生活费等费用。

五、住宿

学院从9月4日起提供住宿，设有两人间、四人间两种宿舍，学生宿舍配备空调、热水器、独立卫生间、洗衣机等设备、设施，不提供床上用品，请同学自行携带或入学后在学校超市购买， 超市内一套床上用品约200元。

 

六、保险

凡计划在华学习满一个学期的外国留学生，根据中国教育部的要求，必须在学校购买海外学生团体综合险。学院建议购买海外学生综合险，金额大约为一年100元人民币。

Notice for the New Students of the Chinese Language Major of the Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University

(TheSecondSemester of2017-2018Academic Year)

Hello! Congratulations! You are going to become a new student of Huaqiao University. Before you set foot on the study road, please carefully read the following notice for new students.

 

I. Body Examination

In order to study in China healthily, please have a body examination at your local formal hospital. There is a Body Examination Form for Foreigners among all the files that we have given to you, and you must offer that form when you go to your local Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for a study visa (XI).

When you come to our college, please bring your Body Examination Form for Foreigners provided by hospital, X-ray film, blood examination record, and so on, otherwise you have to have a body examination again in a local Chinese health organization.

After arriving at our college, you are required to hand in the above original document of your body examination report to Xiamen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to have a recheck. You will obtain a Health Examination Certificate, which will cost you 60RMB.

If you did not have a body examination in your own country, you are required to have a body examination in Xiamen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, which will cost you 530RMB.

 

II. Transacting Visa

We suggest you start transacting a visa when you receive the Admission Notice. Please contact your local Chinese embassy or consulate to confirm the documents that should be handed in, such as the size and quantity of your photo, whether a passport copy is needed or not, whether the Body Examination Form for Foreigners is needed or not, whether other documents and certifications are needed or not, and so on.

Please go to Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for a study visa (XI Visa) with your Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202 Form) and other necessary documents required by the embassy or consulate.

XI visa must be changed into Residence Permit within 30 days after entering China, so please do not enter China too early, which will prevent your visa from expiring. We suggest you enter China betweenSept.4, 2017 and Sept.9, 2017,and then come to the Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University to transact the registration procedures.

If you applied for the study visa a little late or you totally have no time to do that, you could apply for a tourist visa, with which you can come to Xiamen, China; but that must be on the condition that you must inform us in advance, and gain our permission. If you come to Xiamen without our permission, we would not help you extend your visa’s validity period and transact residence permit procedures.

 

III. Airport Pickup and Arrival

After going through the visa application procedures, we suggest you book a flight ticket which will make you arrive in Xiamen betweenSept.4, 2017 and Sept.9, 2017.Please inform us after you have successfully booked the ticket, which will be convenient for us to arrange for airport pickup service.

If you do not need airport pickup, we suggest you come to the Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University by taxi. You can show the taxi driver our college address: No.8, Jiageng Road, Jimei District, Xiamen City (beside the dragon boat pool of Jimei School Village).It will take you about 20 minutes and about 30RMB from Xiamen International Airport to our college by taxi.

The average temperature of Xiamen is 21 degrees Celsius. In our college, supermarket, dining hall, playground, and other living facilities are all available, so you do not need to take too much commodity, such as thick and heavy clothes, quilt, and so on.

 

IV. Fees Payable

1. Registration Fees: 500RMB;

2. Teaching Material Fees: about 600RMB/academic year;

3. Tuition Fees: 14000-15000RMB/academic year;

4. Accommodation Fees: 5600RMB/person/academic year for a standard room;

2400RMB/person/academic year for a quad room.

Certain foreign bank cards (e.g. VISA, MASTER CARD) can be used to withdraw 2000RMB at most per day. In order to go through the registration procedures smoothly, we suggest you apply for a bank card with the symbol of “Union Pay” before you come to China, which can be used for paying all items of fees after arriving at our college and other daily expense too.

In order to be convenient for you to come to our college to study and live, we suggest you bring about 2000RMB cash about you, and prepare for some small change as part of the 2000RMB. When you arrive at our college, you’d better apply for a bank card of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China near our college, which is convenient for your family relatives to send money to you for your daily expenses, and so on.

V. Accommodation

Our college offers accommodation fromSept.4, and there are two kinds of dormitories, standard room and quad room. The dormitory is equipped with air conditioner, water heater, private bathroom, washing machine, and so on. We do not offer bedding articles, so please bring your owns, or buy them in our college supermarket, which are about 200RMB for one set.

VI. Insurance

According to the demands of Chinese Education Department, foreign students, who are going to study in China for over one semester, must buy the foreign students team insurance against comprehensive risks. Our college suggests buying foreign students insurance against comprehensive risks, about 100RMB/year.

 

新生注册程序

• 注册日期：2017年9 月4日起

• 注册地点：华侨大学华文学院招生办（中国福建省厦门市集美区嘉庚路8号华文校园1号楼104室，联系人：郑老师、张老师，电话：0086－592－6068011）

• 所需材料：护照、《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202）、2寸照片10张、健康检查报告原件、相关学历证明或HSK证书、已缴纳学费的需提供银行底单原件。

• 报到程序：

  1、招生办（1号楼104室）：交验《录取通知书》、护照首页和签证页复印件，开注册单；

  2、社区中心（4号楼102室）：持注册单到社区中心安排宿舍，护照首页和签证页复印件在社区中

  心盖章确认后往集美学村派出所（集美大学体育学院内）办理《外国人住宿登记表》；

  3、财务室（3号楼104室）：持注册单到财务室缴交各项费用；

  4、招生办（1号楼104室）：缴费后凭注册单（白联）及缴费凭证办理编班手续。

  5、社区中心（4号楼102室）：交完各项费用后，持注册单（红联）往社区中心领取《住宿通知单》，将此单交给各宿舍楼管理员领取宿舍钥匙；

  6、学生办（3号楼105室）：申请办理居留许可（详见下文），找辅导员登记办理校园卡、学生证；

  7、教材室（16号楼102室）：凭教材交费发票领取教材；

  8、汉语言系（16号楼202室）：领取课程表，并于9月11日开始上课。

   

  New Students Registration Procedures

• Registration Date:Sept.4, 2017

• Required Documents: passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202), 10 two-inch photos, original body examination report, related education background certificate or HSK certificate, original bank receipt is required if students have payed for tuition fees.

• Registration Procedures:

  1. Admission Office (Room No.104, Building No.1): Hand in Admission Notice, copies of the first page and the visa page of passport; arrange class and issue registration receipt.

  2. Administration Center of Students Community (Room No. 102, Building No.4): Go to Administration Center of Students Community to apply for a dormitory room with the registration receipt, and after stamping the copies of the first page and the visa page of passport in the administration center, please go to local police station of Jimei School Village (in Physical Education College of Jimei University) to apply for a Foreigners Accommodation Registration Form.

  3. Financial Office (Room No. 104, Building No.3): Go to Financial Office to pay for all items of fees with the registration receipt.

  4.Admission Office (Room No.104, Building No.1): After paying the fees, please transact class arrangement procedures by the registration receipt (the white receipt) and the payment receipt.

  5.Administration Center of Students Community (Room No. 102, Building No.4): After paying for all items of fees, please go to Administration Center of Students Community to ask for Accommodation Notice by the registration receipt (the red one), and give the Accommodation Notice to your dormitory building administrator to ask for your key to your own dormitory room.

  6. Students Services Office (Room No.105, Building No.3): Apply for transacting residence permit procedures (about the details, please refer to the following text), and apply for transacting a campus E-card and student ID card with the assistance of your college student counselor.

  7. Teaching Material Office: (Room No.102, Building No.16): After paying for the textbooks, you will get the invoice, and please go to the Teaching Material Office to claim for your textbooks with the invoice.

  办理居留许可

  新生在交纳各项费用，完成注册手续后，可办理居留许可，程序如下：

  1、持X1签证来校的学生已获取《录取通知书》和JW202；持旅游签证来校的新生请向招生办领取，如新生没有提前报名，报到时才递交入学申请表，一般3周内办妥JW202表；

  2、住宿安排后，持护照首页和签证页复印件在社区中心盖章确认后往集美学村派出所（集美大学体育学院内）办理《外国人住宿登记表》。申请外住者，须在房东帮助下带齐护照、租房合同、房东身份证和房产证复印件等到当地派出所办理《外国人住宿登记表》；

  3、到厦门市出入境检验检疫局体检（空腹、护照和3张照片），第二天下午领取健康证明，费用530元；来厦门前已做体检的学生，将体检报告原件送到厦门市出入境检验检疫局进行复检，检查合格后领取健康证明，验证费60元。新生入学期间，学生办可组织新生一齐前往体检；

  4、持护照、学费发票、外国人住宿登记表、录取通知书复印件、持旅游签证的需JW202（黄联）复印件、健康证明、三张两寸照片，到学生办向杨老师申请办理《居留许可申请表》；居留许可延长时间与交学费期限一致，即缴交一学期学费，办理居留许可有效期为半年；缴交一学年学费，办理居留许可有效期为一年。

  5、持上述所有文件到厦门市公安局出入境管理处（镇海路64号之一，第一医院对面，电话2262203）办理居留许可，半年至一年以内400元人民币，一年以上至二年以内800元人民币。 --新生入学期间，学生办可组织新生一齐前往出入境管理处办理。

  6、老生要记住自己居留许可有效期时间，快到期时，如要继续学习，须预交下学期学费，再向学生办申请办理延长手续。

  7、老生如更换护照，可于开学时持原来的护照入境，注册交费后，带齐原护照和新护照向学生办申请办理新护照居留许可。如原护照已不能入境，可持新护照办理旅游签证入境，在招生办注册时须提交新护照复印件，申请重新办理JW202表，注册交费后，带齐原护照和新护照向学生办申请办理新护照居留许可。

   Transacting Residence Permit

   New students can transact residence permit after paying for all items of fees and completing registration procedures, and the procedures are detailed as follows:

   1. Students, holding XI visa, have obtained Admission Notice and JW202 form; new students, holding tourist visa, should go to Admission Office to claim for Admission Notice and JW202 form. If new students did not hand in the application form for admission in advance, until they come to our college to transact the registration procedures, then they will obtain their JW202 forms within 3 weeks.

   2. After arranging the accommodation affairs, students should go to Administration Center of Students Community to stamp the copies of the first page and the visa page of their passports, and then go to local police station of Jimei School Village (in Physical Education College of Jimei University) to apply for a Foreigners Accommodation Registration Form. If students do not want to live in our college, they must go to local police station to fill in the Foreigners Accommodation Registration Form with passport, lease contract, copies of the landlord’s ID card and property ownership certificate, etc., which may be under the help of landlord.

   3. Go to Xiamen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to make a body examination (keep empty stomach, take passport and three photos), and you will obtain the Health Certificate next day, which will cost you 530RMB. Students, who have already made a body examination before coming to Xiamen, please hand in your original body examination report to Xiamen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to make a rechecking. If qualified, students will obtain the Health Certificate, which will cost 60RMB. During the new students’ enrolling days, Students Services Office can organize new students to make a body examination together.

   4. Please go to Students Services Office to ask teacher Yang for a Residence Permit Form by passport, tuition fees invoice, Foreigners Accommodation Registration Form, copy of Admission Notice, a copy of JW202 form (the yellow receipt) is required for those who use tourist visa, Health Certificate, and 3 two-inch photos. The extending period of the Residence Permit is the same with the valid period for which the tuition fees are paid; namely, if students pay for one semester tuition fees, they will obtain a period of half-a-year residence permit; if students pay for one academic year tuition fees, they will obtain a period of one-year residence permit.

   5. Go to the Entry-Exit Administration of Xiamen Public Security Bureau (No.64-1, Zhenhai Road, opposite to Xiamen First Hospital, telephone number: 2262203) to transact residence permit procedures, and the expenses are 400RMB for a period from half a year to one year, and 800RMB for a period from over one year to two years. During new students’ enrolling days, Students Services Office can organize new students to go to the Entry-Exit Administration Office together to transact the relevant procedures.

   6. Students, who have studied in our college for more than one semester, should remember the valid period of own Residence Permit. When it is going to expire, and students still want to continue studying, please pay the tuition fees for next semester, and go to Students Services Office to apply for transacting extension procedures.

   7. If students, who have studied in our college for more than one semester, want to change a new passport, they can enter China by the old one when new semester starts, and after registration affairs and paying for the tuition fees, they can go to Students Services Office to apply for transacting a new passport Residence Permit by the old and the new passport. If students cannot enter China with the old passport, they can enter China by tourist visa, which can be obtained by a new passport, and when students transact registration procedures in Admission Office, they are required to hand in the copy of the new passport, and then apply for a new JW202 form, and after registration affairs and paying for the tuition fees, students can go to Students Services Office to apply for transacting a new passport residence permit by the old and the new passport.
