女王大学

女王大学创立于1845年，是英国历史悠久的十所著名大学之一，是英国罗索大学联盟成员，其高水平的教学和科研享誉全球，毕业生遍布世界各地。

女王大学具有招收中国学生的传统，有近600名深圳大学基础课程班的学生到女王大学攻读本科课程。

深圳大学

项目质量

英国教育质量评估委员会对中英合作项目进行了评估，对该项目为准备留学英国的学生所提供的全面支持、各项准备以及为学生抵达英国后的学习所提供的后续支持给予了高度赞扬。

基础课程班

基础课程班为将赴女王大学攻读三年制本科课程的中国高中毕业生提供必需的准备。学生通过修读本课程，可提高英语水平并增强学习技能，以适应西方教育的要求。该课程由深圳大学和女王大学的教师共同讲授。

本课程班分文科和理工科，为准备就读金融、管理和经济等文科专业和各类理工科专业的学生提供充分的准备。

本课程班的主要课程是英语，并开设四门专业课程：

文科：数学、商务计算（中文教学）

经济学、管理学（英文教学）

理工科：数学I、物理学 （中文教学）

 数学II、工程学（英文教学）

课程安排

第一学期：2014年9月－2015年1月

第二学期：2015年2月- 6月

雅思英语考试：2015年5月

通过全部专业课程考试并达到英语要求的学生将获得赴女王大学攻读学士学位的资格，部分学生须在2015年6月—9月中旬到女王大学进行入学前英语强化训练。

入学要求

具有高中学历或同等学历；

通过两校组织的约10分钟英语面试及文化基础水平的综合评估。

报名录取时间

第一次集中报名时间：2014年7月10日前

第一次集中录取时间：2014年7月12-13日

第二次报名截止时间：2014年9月1日前

费用

深圳大学基础课程班学费：人民币48000元

资料费：人民币3000元

女王大学文科专业学费： 12,650英镑（本科14～15）

女王大学理工科专业学费：16,225英镑（本科14～15）

英国生活费每年约：5000 - 7500英镑

女王大学的学费和生活费比英国同等水平的大学便宜。在女王大学就读时间超过一年者，后几年的学费按第一年学费的同等数额交纳。

拟赴女王大学攻读学位课程的学生必须有能力支付三年的学费和生活费。

基础课程班设有9个奖学金名额，奖金总额为2万英镑。

QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY BELFAST

The Queen’s University of Belfast,found in 1845,the ninth oldest university in the United Kingdom, a member of the distinguished Russell Group, is highly regarded for its teaching and research. Its graduates are to be found in many countries throughout the world. 

Queen’s has received students from the People’s Republic of China for many years andnearly 600students from Shenzhen Universitycame to Queen’s to take Undergraduate courses.

SHENZHENUNIVERSITY

Shenzhen University (SZU), founded in 1983, is the only comprehensive university in the first special economic zone in China. Making the best of its favourable geographical as well as economic conditions of being in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, it has made remarkable achievements and attracted great appreciation from all walks of life both at home and abroad.

A HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMME

The UK’s Quality Assurance Agency undertook a review of UK /Chinese programmes and commended this programme for the comprehensive support and preparation of students for transfer to the UK and continuing support after arrival.

THE FOUNDATION COURSE

The aim of the Foundation Course is to prepare students who have completed their secondary education in China for 3-year undergraduate Honours degrees at Queen’s. During the Foundation programme students have the opportunity to become proficient in English language and to develop the study skills necessary for Western education. The tuition is provided jointly by staff from Shenzhen and Queen’s.

There are two sections of the foundation course, one in Social Sciences and the other in Science/Engineering. These will prepare students for admission to a range of degree programmes in Social Sciences (e.g. Finance, Management, Economicsetc.), or in the Engineering disciplines.

A major part of the course will be English Language tuition.

The four academic modules are: 

Social Sciences

Mathematics,Business Computing(in Chinese)

Economics, Management (in English)

Science/Engineering

MathematicsI, Physics (in Chinese)

MathematicsII, Engineering Science (in English)

Programme Schedule

First Semester: September 2014–Jan2015

Second Semester: Feb -June 2015

Taking IELTS: May 2015

Students who pass all the academic modules and attain the required standard in English will be eligible for admission to Queen’s.Some students are required to undertake a pre-sessional English course at Queen’s during the periodJune - mid September 2015. 

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of senior high school graduation examination or an equivalent qualification.

Applications will be considered by a panel of QUEEN’S and SZU staff, and there will be about 10minutes’ interview

Estimated Living Expenses: ?5,000 – 7,500/year

At Queen’s, tuition fees and living expenses are lower than at many other similarly well-regarded UK universities. In addition, students enrolling on programmes with duration of more than one year will pay the same fixed-rate tuition fee each year.

Students who wish to enter degree programmes at Queen’s must be able to provide evidence that they can meet the tuition fees and living expenses for the full 3 year period.

There are 9 scholarships for the Foundation programme. The scholarships are worth ?20,000 in total
